Who we are
At The Comms Chicks, we help businesses simplify their messaging, connect with the right audience, and grow with confidence.
Led by Tess L’Estrange, a communications specialist with over 20 years’ experience, we bring big-picture strategy and real-world know-how to businesses that don’t have time to waste on guesswork. We’ve worked across government, health and community sectors, but our focus is simple: making communication work for you.
We know that for many businesses, communication isn’t just about looking good - it’s about getting results. Whether you’re trying to attract new customers, explain what you do more clearly, or build trust with your audience, we help you say the right thing, in the right way, at the right time.
We specialise in:
clarifying your message so customers instantly understand your value
creating practical, easy-to-use communication plans
developing content for websites, social media and campaigns
helping you engage your audience in a genuine and meaningful way.
We also bring expertise in working with diverse audiences, making sure your communication is inclusive, accessible and easy to understand - something that increasingly matters to customers.
At The Comms Chicks, we don’t overcomplicate things. We work alongside you to understand your business, your goals and your customers, then deliver communication that’s clear, practical and effective.
Because when your message is clear, your business grows.
Meet the Founder
Tess L’Estrange
I help organisations and small businesses make sense of what they want to say - and say it in a way that actually connects.
With 20+ years in communications across government, health and community sectors, I’ve worked on everything from national campaigns to sensitive, high-stakes projects. These days, through The Comms Chicks, I focus on bringing that experience to clients who want clear, practical communication that gets results (without the fluff).
I’m known for being calm under pressure, easy to work with, and able to turn complex ideas into simple, meaningful messages, especially for diverse audiences.
At the end of the day, I believe good communication isn’t complicated. It just needs to be clear, honest and built around the people you’re trying to reach.
